Gigi dons a red dress, while her sister, Merri, dons a green dress. Gigi's and Merri's names are likely derived from "[[Luigi]]" and "[[Mario]]," respectively. When Mario and Luigi arrive at their Relaxation Room, the Jellyfish Sisters give them hand massages, during which the Mario Bros. inadvertently perform their [[Firebrand]] and [[Thunderhand]] abilities. The Jellyfish Sisters are also able to fly—or, at least, glide—as they descend from the sky when they are introduced.

Gigi and Merri both seem to seduce Luigi over to them, and when Mario shows that they have no effect on him, they offer to teach their abilities. Mario can say yes, and an unfinished version of the tutorial then commences, or he can say no and then slap Luigi out of his stupor.
