Editing Jamboree Buddy

'''Jamboree Buddies''' are NPCs in ''[[Super Mario Party Jamboree]]'' that assist the player with their unique abilities. 10 of the 22 playable characters appear as Jamboree Buddies, appearing somewhere on the board. By running into a Jamboree Buddy, a Showdown minigame is initiated to recruit them into the winner's team, with the player who initiated the minigame starting with a slight advantage. If there is a tie for first place, the tied players will enter a "Tie-Break Dice" event where the Jamboree Buddy goes to the player that rolls the higher number to break the tie.  

Each Jamboree Buddy has a unique ability during board gameplay to help their owner. Additionally, all of them cause board actions to happen twice, such as gaining or losing coins, buying items or Stars, and even Boos and Bowser Spaces. When obtained, the Jamboree Buddy lasts for three turns (including the turn when they are obtained). The player receives an achievement for each Jamboree Buddy after gaining them as an ally and using their ability for the first time.

Additionally, the "Bowser's Groupies" achievement can be earned if the player stops on a [[Bowser Space]] with a Jamboree Buddy.

*By having Peach as a Jamboree Buddy on the board [[Rainbow Galleria]] while a Flash Sale takes place, it is possible to purchase two Stars for as little as 10 coins in total, provided the player is not under the effect of a [[Markup Sticker]]. Similarly, by having Daisy as a Jamboree Buddy on the board Rainbow Galleria while a Flash Sale takes place, it is possible to purchase items for as little as a quarter of their original cost. {{Ref needed}}

*Unlike the other characters, Mario and Luigi do not have unique dialogue when a player approaches them when they are waiting on a board or when they are recruited by another player; a Toad speaks on their behalf.
