'''Jabits''' are small, bespectacled, green and gray {{wp|drill bit}} creatures and members of the [[Smithy Gang]]. They appear in ''[[Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars]]''. Their name is a portmanteau of "jab" and "bit", short for "drill bit", and may have been intentionally set up similar to [[Snifit]]s.

Jabits (along with [[Ninja (enemy)|Ninja]]s) are the security of Smithy Gang and are usually wandering around the [[Weapon World]]. Jabits are apparently easy to make in large numbers because their usual plan of attack is self-destructing. They are often accompanied in battle by [[Mad Mallet]]s and [[Poundette]]s. Also, in the assembly-line section of the factory, [[Mario]] can observe the process of Jabits being manufactured.

[[Drill Bit]], a unique red Jabit who was newly created at the time of Mario's arrival, appears once to try to talk some sense into [[Smithy]], alongside a [[Shymore]] and an [[Aero]]. Drill Bit was also an [[list of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars pre-release and unused content#Enemies|unused enemy]], with battle data for one to four Drill Bits, suggesting it was going to be an enemy group variant. is In addition, four [[Machine Made]] versions of these types of enemies appear when the [[Speardovich|Yaridovich]] copies use a move called [[Multiplier|Multiplier!]], suggesting they may have additionally had a similar role to Yaridovich's [[Mirage Attack|Mirage attack!]] in the final. Their [[Thought Peek|thought]] is "This is for Yaridovich!" further suggesting they were intended to be his minions, as [[Shymore|Shyster]]s are to [[Claymorton|Mack]] and Aeros are to [[Bowyer]].
