The Delfino Police is a group of policemen encountered during the events of Super Mario Sunshine. They arrested Mario because they thought he was the one responsible for all the graffiti around the whole island, when actually it was Shadow Mario. They told Mario to clean the whole island's graffiti, and it was not until the plumber's task of this was done that he could leave Isle Delfino. They look very similar to normal Piantas, but have police caps, which have logos of Shines on them. In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door they can be seen in the background while Mario talks to Goombella in Rougeport after Mario saves her from the X Nauts.

The Isle Delfino Police,<ref>{{cite|quote=...D.E.B.S. The officers arrest Mario because they suspect he is responsible for polluting Isle Delfino with graffiti, when it is actually Bowser Jr. (disguised as Shadow Mario). After Mario is put on trial, they order him to clean up all the goop on the island, a task that he must complete before he is allowed to leave. The Isle Delfino Police look very similar to normal Piantas, though they wear blue shirts, as well as police caps that have a Shine Sprite logo on them. The two officers seen in the game are a blue one with a mustache and shades, and an orange one with glasses; the former is the police boss, and the latter is an anxious newcomer.<ref name=Encyclopedia>{{cite|publisher=Shogakukan|language=ja|date=2015|title=Super Mario Bros. Near the beginning of the game, when Shadow Mario tries to kidnap Princess Peach and Mario chases him, they run right by the Isle Delfino Police, who seem oblivious to this; for the entire course of the game, they are under the impression that Mario is responsible for the pollution and continue to tell him not to slack off.

Trivia
*The Isle Delfino Police cannot get stuck in goop; this can be seen when Shadow Mario kidnaps Princess Peach, as the M Graffiti he draws do not affect them as they do the other characters.
