The '''Ice Tour''' was the ninth tour of ''[[Mario Kart Tour]]'', which began on January 15, 2020 and ended on January 28, 2020. Reflecting its ice theme, [[Penguin Mario|Penguin Luigi]] and [[Princess Peach|Peach]] in her winter outfit from ''[[Super Mario Odyssey]]'' are introduced as the spotlight drivers with [[Ice Mario (Super Mario Galaxy)|Ice Mario]] from ''[[Super Mario Galaxy]]'' introduced as a new driver, while [[N64 Frappe Snowland|Frappe Snowland]] and [[SNES Vanilla Lake 1|Vanilla Lake 1]] are introduced as new courses, marking the first appearance of a Vanilla Lake course since ''[[Mario Kart: Super Circuit]]''. This tour also introduced the R/T variants of [[SNES Choco Island 2]], [[DS DK Pass]], and [[3DS Shy Guy Bazaar]]. Starting with this tour, karts and gliders are no longer eligible for cup bonuses that previously moved them up a tier on certain cups. The menu's background featured the snow statue of Mario from Frappe Snowland as the landmark for this tour.
