A '''Hurt Plant''' is a species of carnivorous plant found on [[Lavalava Island]] in ''[[Paper Mario]]''. These plants look exactly like [[Heart Plant]]s, but when interacted with, they do not give hearts, but hiss at [[Mario]] and battle him.

In battle, they attack by diving into the dirt and popping out near Mario to bite him, much like a [[Piranha Plant]] but possibly [[Poison (status effect)|poison]]ing him. However, Mario can prevent himself from being poisoned by blocking the Hurt Plant's attacks. The poison bite has around an 85% chance so Mario is more likely to get poisoned.
