The Hover Craft is not available to use at first because there is a hole in its tube that Funky can only fix with a [[patch (item)|patch]], and the Hover Craft becomes available to use after giving the Patch to Funky. The Hover Craft is required to access the worlds [[Cotton Top Cove]] and [[Mekanos]], the [[Brothers Bear]] location [[Bramble's Bungalow]], and the [[secret cave]], "Kong Cave". The Hovercraft is used by [[King K. Rool|Baron K. Roolenstein]] in a brief scene of the true ending, where he uses it to try to escape from the [[Banana Queen]].
