Being the first beehive stage, Hornet Hole introduces sticky honey coating one some of the walls and on parts of the ground, featured throughout the entire level. If the Kongs walk onto some honey on the ground, they become immobilized, and are therefore more vulnerable to being hit by enemies. They cannot even attack while in this state. The Kongs can only free themselves by repeatedly jumping from the honey until reaching normal ground, although [[Team-up]] allows them to walk across the honey quicker.
