'''Hone Kuribon''' is one of the hypothetical new enemies that [[Mario]] encounters in ''[[Super Mario-kun]]'' [[Super Mario-kun Volume 1|volume 1]], in a chapter dedicated to the possibilities in a "''Super Mario Bros. 5''". It is a skeletal version of the [[Galoomba]], and unlike Galoombas, they leave behind the [[Hone]] upon being stomped. 

Mario and his friends encounter it after deciding to help [[Isshī]] as the first new enemy they encounter. Mario defeats the Hone Kuribon by stomping it, and collects the Hone it left behind, transforming into [[Skeleton Mario]] for three minutes.

Despite not being totally precise, skeletal Goombas would later being introduced in the games in the form of the [[Bone Goomba]].
