The '''Holiday Tour''' was the eighty-fifth tour of ''[[Mario Kart Tour]]'', which began on December 14, 2022 and ended on December 27, 2022. It was rerun from December 13, 2023 to December 26, 2023 as the game's hundred-and-eleventh tour.

This tour saw the return of [[GBA Snow Land|Snow Land]] from ''[[Mario Kart: Super Circuit]]'' as a [[classic course]], making this the first tour to only introduce one course to ''Mario Kart Tour'' since the [[Sundae Tour (2022)|2022 Sundae Tour]] nine tours prior, if both race courses and battle courses are counted. The tour also introduced the R/T variant of [[Wii DK Summit]]. [[Merry Mountain]] and all three routes of [[Tour Vancouver Velocity|Vancouver Velocity]] also return, with the former coinciding with the course's inclusion in Wave 3 of the ''[[Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass|Booster Course Pass]]'' DLC for ''[[Mario Kart 8 Deluxe]]''. In addition, all race courses in this tour were snow- and/or ice-themed. The tour introduced a winter variant of [[Larry Koopa|Larry]] as a new driver, the first and only driver variant for a [[Koopalings|Koopaling]]. The [[Fire Rosalina Cup]] also debuted in this tour, even though [[Fire Mario|Fire Rosalina]] had been playable since the [[Rosalina Tour]] and in regular pipes since the [[Battle Tour]].

Like the [[Anniversary Tour (2022)|2022 Anniversary Tour]] and the [[Autumn Tour (2022)|2022 Autumn Tour]], there was a track with a variant missing ([[N64 Frappe Snowland|Frappe Snowland R/T]]) and a track with a repeated variant ([[DS DK Pass|DK Pass R/T]]).

A two-tour Holiday Celebration began in this tour and ran until the end of the [[New Year's Tour (2023)|2023 New Year's Tour]]. The official ''Mario Kart Tour'' Twitter page did not release a roadmap for the celebration following the beginning of this tour, unlike for previous celebrations.

This tour brought back the [[Take them out quick!]] bonus challenge from the [[Winter Tour (2020)|2020 Winter Tour]], making this the first instance of a Take them out quick! bonus challenge being reused.

This tour's [[Coin Rush (Mario Kart Tour)|Coin Rush]] course was Merry Mountain, which was reused from the [[Cat Tour (2021)|2021 Cat Tour]] and the [[Holiday Tour (2021)|2021 Holiday Tour]]. The menu's background featured the present tower from Merry Mountain as the landmark for this tour, which was reused from the 2020 Winter Tour and the 2021 Holiday Tour.

During the first half of the tour, players could receive the [[Mii|Reindeer Mii Racing Suit]] for placing high in the ranked cups, while players were able to receive [[Yoshi (species)|Pink Yoshi]] and the [[Pink Turbo Yoshi]] as high placement rewards in the ranked cups during the second half of the tour.

Similarly to the [[Sydney Tour (April-May 2021)|April-May 2021 Sydney Tour]], [[New Year's 2022 Tour]], [[Spring Tour]], and [[Pipe Tour]], the rerun  trailer and social media announcement were publicly released later than the usual time.

The eleventh set of [[List of challenge cards in Mario Kart Tour#Expert Challenges|Expert Challenges]], which was made available in the [[Battle Tour]], lasted until the end of this tour.

==Today's Challenge==
Players' most recently used kart and glider are chosen, and favorite and favored ones have extra priority. Opponents are arranged randomly. On day 1 of this tour, players finish a race in [[DS DK Pass]] in the [[Mii Cup]] using the [[Mii|Santa Mii Racing Suit]] for a free pipe launch. Starting from day 2, players have to finish a race in the earliest incomplete course that is not in any of the ranked cups using the driver shown on the course's thumbnail every day to obtain the corresponding reward in the table below. Once all of the courses are completed, the courses are selected at random.
