| The minigame opens with the players on the white [[hexagon]], followed by the other six rising out of the [[lava]].

| Hexagon Heat is based on [[Mushroom Mix-Up]] from ''[[Mario Party]]''. After [[Toad]] raises a flag, players rush to the identically colored hexagon as the others sink into the lava. Any player who touches the lava is eliminated. Players can either [[jump]] on their opponents or flatten them from a [[Ground Pound|ground-pound]] temporarily to stun them. The hexagons lower and rise at increasing speeds as gameplay continues, including the music in the ''Mario Party 2'' version only. The last player standing wins.
