In ''Paper Mario'', it is on a roof in [[Goomba Road]], accessible if [[Mario]] knocks a [[spring]] out of a tree with his [[hammer]]. In ''Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door'', it is found inside a [[? Block]] halfway through [[Twilight Trail]], can be bought at the [[Pianta Parlor]] for fifty [[Pianta Token]]s with the [[Gold Card]], and can be rarely dropped after a battle by [[Hammer Bro]]s, [[Swoop]]ers, [[Swoopula]]s, and [[Swampire]]s. If Mario equips the badge, he gains access to the Hammer Throw move, a [[hammer]] attack that requires two [[Flower Point|FP]] to use. On use, Mario throws a hammer at the targeted opponent, dealing the same damage as a regular hammer attack. It also has the benefit of being able to target any enemy on the stage regardless of their location and without going close to them, while most other hammer attacks can only attack the frontmost enemy on the ground while standing right next to them. Equipping multiple copies of the badge increases the cost of using it for every equipped badge, but also increases the strength of the move.
