In ''Paper Mario'', it can be bought from [[Merlow]] at [[Star Hill|Shooting Star Summit]] for fifteen [[Star Piece (Paper Mario series)|Star Piece]]s. In ''Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door'', it is found in [[Rogueport]], at an area near the docks accessible through [[Boat Mode]], near [[Fahr Outpost]], inside a red [[? Block]] on the path to the Outpost, and possibly dropped after battle by [[Green Fuzzy|Green Fuzzies]] and [[Swoop]]ers. If [[Mario]] equips it, his attack drops by 1. Additionally, in ''[[Paper Mario]]'', the Badge heals Mario for every enemy he hits, regardless if any damage is dealt, capping at 5.
