The Gusty Garden Galaxy is a galaxy from the game Super Mario Galaxy that is located in the Bedroom. It features many grass and plant themed planetoids scattered throughout the galaxy. Many of them can only be reached by grabbing onto a Floaty Fluff and spinning to glide on gusts of wind from one planet to the next. The sky in the Gusty Garden Galaxy is perpetually swirling with a light gray foggy hue. The boss of this galaxy is a mole named Major Burrows.

This is a relatively small planet with two sides. On the top of the planet, there's nothing more than some flowers, a few Item Crystals, two Star Bunnies, and some Floaty Fluff. On the bottom of the planet, which is completely covered in dirt, there are only some Goombas that appear when Ground Pounding Stumps, (or Starbags during later missions), rocks and Spiky Plants. This is the first planet that Mario lands on regardless of which mission he selects (excluding Major Burrows' Daredevil Run, of course). A powerful gust of wind spirals from this planet to the next planet.

This planet looks a little like the Starting Planet, though it features several pieces of stone architecture embedded in the ground, including a stone pillar, stone steps, and a stone pedestal. The top of the planet has flowers and more Floaty Fluff. It also has a Warp Pipe on the underside that leads to the inside of the planet, as well as a ? Coin that makes several rings of Star Bits appear between this planet and the next. Mario can collect these with the Star Cursor when standing on the planet or use a Floaty Fluff and ride on the wind in order to get closer to them (or fly through them). Later in the game, the inside of the planet will be filled with many Spiky Plants and another ? Coin, which will make a Rainbow Star appear. A single Piranha Plant also awaits on the top of the planet, and will yield a coin when defeated.

There are several oddly-shaped planetoids in the Gusty Garden Galaxy which look a lot like pears. These planets are pretty small and slightly resemble a few of the planets from the Good Egg Galaxy. They each have relatively different sizes but basically the same form overall. Most of them are inhabited only by Piranha Plants and Flipbugs. They are so small and closely positioned together that Mario is able to travel between them using nothing other than Sproutle Vines. On many of the planets, Sproutle Vines will already be out in the open. In that case, all Mario has to do is spin to make it appear. However, more often than not, he will have to defeat at least one Piranha Plant in order to make a Sproutle Vine appear. On the final Pear Planet, a Prickly Piranha Plant awaits. After it is defeated, the Launch Star to the next planet will appear. There is also a hidden path among these planets, which is accessed by means of a Sproutle Vine on the underside of one of the planets. It will allow Mario to circumvent one of the planets that has a Prickly Piranha Plant on it, but will ultimately lead him back to the same planet that he would have ended up on regardless.

This relatively simple planet is shaped like a curve twisting to the left. On the top of the planet are flowers, another stone pedestal, and of course, more Floaty Fluff, which Mario must use to get to the next planet. Unlike most planets, the underside of this planet is partly covered in grass in addition to the top side. There aren't many enemies or obstacles here, only a few Piranha Plants, Flipbugs, and the occasional Rocky Wrench. A hidden Sproutle Vine on this planet will reward Mario with a 1-Up Mushroom if he follows it to the end.

As its name obviously implies, this planet is shaped like a gigantic cube. The "puzzle" part comes into play as a result of the many hedges that are present on this planet, many of which have been trimmed in such a way that they form a maze in some areas of the planet. There are different obstacles on each side of the Puzzle Cube, and a fountain on the side that Mario lands on when he touches down here. There is also a small cylindrical underground tunnel running straight through the center of the planet which holds a few prizes, including Star Bits and a 1-Up Mushroom. When Mario first lands here, he must successfully chase and catch a playful Star Bunny to get the Power Star. He later returns here when a Purple Comet is in orbit, where he must collect at least 100 Purple Coins within a certain time limit in order to get the Power Star.

These two planets are collectively referred to as the Question Mark Planets, as they clearly resemble their titular punctuation mark. In the second level in the Gusty Garden Galaxy, Mario uses a Floaty Fluff to glide to the bottom planet first, and then uses a Sling Star to reach the top planet. The first planet contains only some flowers and an Undergrunt, which Mario must defeat to progress. This planet acts as the "dot" of the question mark, while the second planet is much bigger and consists of the main body of the question mark. The top planet is infested with three Undergrunts which Mario has to defeat to make the Launch Star to the next planet appear.

This planet is optional, and is fairly easy to miss if the player is not careful. Normally, the Launch Star from the previous planet will just shoot Mario straight through this planet to the next planet. Therefore, Mario can only visit this planet if he quickly activates one of the five Pull Stars positioned around the inner ring of the planet. After he is pulled to the planet, he will find many ? Coins which will make multiple Star Bits appear around the planet. However, he must be cautious when attempting to collect them, as the planet is surrounded by large spiky vines, forcing Mario to follow a designated path around various parts of the planet. When he reaches the "end" of the planet, another Launch Star will take him to the next planet.

These planets consist of nothing more than three huge apples that get increasingly larger as Mario progresses. The end two apples are red and the apple in the middle is green. On the planets are multiple wooden pegs which can be Ground Pounded to release anything from Star Bits to Flipbugs. These planets are also inhabited by many creatures, including several Wigglers, Flipbugs, and, in the case of the final planet, a few Boulders. When Mario lands here, he must Ground Pound the correct Stumps on each Apple Planet in order to make a giant green worm burrow through each of the three planets. Mario can then use the worm's body as a bridge from one apple to the next. On the final planet, a wooden peg will make the worm's head stick out of the top of the apple, which Mario can climb onto to reach the Launch Star to the next planet.

When he Ground Pounds this, a Life Mushroom will appear and begin to move around the planetoid. Mario must collect this carefully, or he runs the risk of accidentally being poked by the spiny vine that surrounds and digs into the planet. This is also presumably the home of a single Star Bunny. When Mario arrives on the planet for the first time, he witnesses the Star Bunny being chased by none other than Major Burrows, an abnormally large mole with an anger management problem who apparently wants to have the bunny as a snack. ==Levels==
Bunnies in the Wind
Mario begins the level on the Starting Planet, where he must use some Floaty Fluff to glide on powerful wind currents to the Stone Pieces Planet. Once on this planet, he must spin more Floaty Fluff and then use it to glide to the Curve Planet. Here, more Floaty Fluff will lead him to the first of many Pear Planets, which he must travel between using numerous Sproutle Vines.

On the first few planets, these will be easily accessible, and Mario is able to use them simply by spinning to release them. However, as he progresses, he will be forced to defeat at least one Piranha Plant located on these planets in order to make the Sproutle Vines appear.

When he reaches the final Pear Planet, he will encounter a large Prickly Piranha Plant. Once defeated, it will release a Launch Star which will take Mario to the Puzzle Cube. When he lands on the planet, he must talk to a nearby Star Bunny, who will promptly engage him in a game of tag. Mario must then chase the Star Bunny around all six sides of the Puzzle Cube, and in some cases, actually through the Puzzle Cube.

While there are few enemies on this planet, the player must be careful to avoid some of the hedges, which are spiked in some areas. When the Star Bunny has finally been caught, it will reward Mario with the Power Star for that level, which will always appear in a different location depending on what side of the Puzzle Cube the Star Bunny was caught on.

However, once he reaches this planet, he must use more Floaty Fluff to glide instead to the bottom of the two Question Mark Planets. Here, he must defeat an Undergrunt before he can progress. Once defeated, a Sling Star will appear, and Mario will now be able to access the top Question Mark Planet. Once on this planet, he must successfully track down and defeat three more Undergrunts, after which a Launch Star will appear on the top of the planet. When activated, it will shoot Mario to the Apple Planets, though he will pass through the Hedge Ring on the way there.

If the player is quick, they can grab one of the five Pull Stars positioned around the inside ring of the planet and touch down there instead. This planet is optional, however, if the player chooses to visit it, they will be able to collect some additional Star Bits and Coins. When the player is done here, another Launch Star will take them to the Apple Planets.

Mario must Ground Pound small wooden pegs on each of the three Apple Planets to make a giant worm burrow through them, creating a "bridge" between them with his body. On the third Apple Planet, the worm's head will allow Mario to reach the next Launch Star, which will take him to the Spiny Planet. Mario touches down on a wooden peg on this planet, which will make a Life Mushroom appear when Ground Pounded. After collecting it, Mario must take the final Launch Star to Major Burrows' Planet. When he lands, he will find Major Burrows chasing a frightened Star Bunny. He must Ground Pound near him when his head is above ground and then spin to attack him. When he is finally defeated, the Power Star will appear.

Mario will begin the level on the Starting Planet once again. From there, he must grab some Floaty Fluff and glide to the first of two more Pear Planets. After landing on the first one, Mario must defeat a Piranha Plant to release yet another Sproutle Vine, which will take Mario to the second Pear Planet.

Here, another hidden Sproutle Vine will lead Mario to a Launch Star floating above the planet. The Launch Star takes Mario to the Grass Spheres Planet, where he must carefully avoid multiple Boulders and Chomps as they roll around the planet, while simultaneously avoiding the many Spiky Plants that are found between the grass spheres on the planet.

When Mario reaches the end of the planet, another Launch Star will take him to the first of the three Disk Planets. Mario must then collect the five yellow Star Chips that are found orbiting around these planets to make another Launch Star appear on the last of the three Disk Planets. Mario will then be launched to the final planets encountered in this level, the ! and ? Planets.

Here, the player must cautiously traverse the confusing gravitational pathways that lie ahead, of course trying not to fall off the sides of the planets in the process. After covering a certain distance, Mario will come across a few planets riddled with many cannons continuously launching Cannonballs into space, which Mario must be careful to avoid. On the final planet, Mario must spin a large ice crystal to release the Power Star.

In this level, the player must battle Major Burrows once again, though under Daredevil Comet conditions. Therefore, the player cannot receive damage from anything even once. When entering the galaxy, Mario will first land on Major Burrows' Planet instead of the Starting Planet. This planet is also the only planet encountered in this level. Once Major Burrows has been defeated, the Power Star will appear.

The player is taken straight to the Puzzle Cube in this level, which can only be accessed when a Purple Comet is in orbit. Mario is presented with a timed mission where he must collect at least 100 Purple Coins found scattered around the six sides of the Puzzle Cube. There is a total of 150 Purple Coins in all and a time limit of 2:30.
These five planets are a collection of odd-looking boxes that are only encountered in the Gusty Garden's Gravity Scramble level. When Mario flips the gravity, the color of the planets will alternate from green with a ? to yellow with a ! or vice versa. There are several cannons on these planets, along with numerous Goombas and Slurples as well. When Mario finally reaches the end of these planetoids, he will find a Power Star encased in a large ice crystal.

{{content description
In this level, the player will complete the level in the same way as in Gusty Garden's Gravity Scramble, though with a few minor differences. After landing on the Starting Planet, Mario must use Floaty Fluff to glide to the Pear Planets while taking extra care to collect three ? Coins found between the Starting Planet and the first Pear Planet. Once on the first Pear Planet, Mario will need to use a Sproutle Vine to collect another ? Coin, and then jump to collect another one on the second Pear Planet. After doing so, a Rainbow Star will appear, which can only be reached by using another Sproutle Vine. After collecting the Rainbow Star, the player must immediately use the Launch Star to fly to the Grass Spheres Planet, where they must quickly track down the only Golden Chomp on the planet and destroy it as Rainbow Mario, revealing the hidden Power Star for the Gusty Garden Galaxy.

Trivia
*In the Gusty Garden's Gravity Scramble level, it is possible to fall back onto the final Disk Planet with the Launch Star by performing a Long Jump in the right place. However, because the gravity has now changed on the ! and ? Planets, it then becomes impossible to complete the level.
*Gusty Garden Galaxy originally had Good Egg Galaxy's background as well as some similar planets.
*The theme from this galaxy can be heard in many different Mario games. It can be heard in the last Grandmaster Galaxy level, The Perfect Run, along with the Good Egg Galaxy theme, Bowser's Galaxy Reactor theme, and the Comet Observatory theme. Also, a variation of the theme can be heard in the World S selection screen. Also, in Super Mario 3D World, the theme can be heard in three levels: World Star-6 Honeycomb Starway, World Flower-10 Honeycomb Skyway, and the final level World Crown-Crown Champion's Road. The theme that plays during a timed Purple Comet mission, as well as during Battlerock Galaxy's and Dreadnought Galaxy's Purple Comet missions, is a cover of Gusty Garden Galaxy's theme. The theme is further reused from its 3D World version for the course Cloudtop Cruise in Mario Kart 8.
