If they let one get too close, or else leave her offscreen too long, the Gritty Goomba grabs the Princess and carries her down a yellow [[Warp Pipe]] leading to underground ruins, which Mario and Luigi must enter to save Peach. If the player returns to Teehee Valley later in the game, most of the Gritty Goombas are replaced by [[Anuboo]]s, save for the ones in the underground ruins. Additionally, when [[Trunkle]] uses his vacuum breath, Gritty Goombas are one of the things that can be pulled in.
