When the player [[jump]]s through one, [[Green Coin]]s appear rotating in five groups of three, with one group appearing at a time and the next appearing after all coins in the previous group have been collected. The coins disappear in three seconds if the player does not collect them. If the player does, the countdown resets in the next group. Green Rings serve the same purpose as [[Red Ring]]s, which generate [[Red Coin]]s. When all the Green Coins have been collected, the player receives a [[List of power-ups|power-up]] or a [[1-Up Mushroom]].

Green Rings appear in ''[[Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope]]'', in which they have the same function, although the rewards are a [[Planet Coin]] and a [[treasure chest]] containing coins. There is one on all planets.
