There are only five Golden Mushrooms in-game, though it can also be stolen using [[Swing Bros.]] from [[Fawful]] and [[Popple]] (in the original game).

In the remake, bosses like [[Iggy]], [[Morton]], [[Wendy]], and [[Larry Koopa|Larry]] always drop a Golden Mushroom when defeated.
