The crownless variety of '''Golden Mushrooms''' are a rare variety type of [[Mushroom]] named for their golden color. They typically resemble the [[Golden Dash Mushroom]] from the ''[[Mario Kart (series)|Mario Kart]]'' series, abiet without a crown. In ''[[New Super Mario Bros. 2]]'' and appearances based on it, they are consistently known as '''Gold Mushrooms''' and appear as lighter-toned golden mushroom with dark spots; the Golden Mushroom in [[Super Nintendo World]], meanwhile, inverts this shading.
