The '''Gloomy Manor''' is a [[List of locations|location]] in ''[[Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon]]'' and ''[[Luigi's Mansion 2 HD]]''. It is the first mansion visited by [[Luigi]]. Gloomy Manor is similar to [[Luigi's Mansion (location)|Luigi's Mansion]] from [[Luigi's Mansion|the first game]] in that it is a regular haunted mansion taking place during a storm. It is here that Luigi acquires the [[Poltergust 5000]], the [[Strobulb]], the [[Dark-Light Device]], and the second [[Dark Moon]] piece. The sub-bosses are three [[Poltergeist]]s, and the main [[List of bosses|boss]] is a giant purple [[Spider (Luigi's Mansion series)|spider]] that has been possessed by the [[Grouchy Possessor]], which is located in the [[Cellar (Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon)|Cellar]]. The manor has three floors and a basement and features five standard missions, a boss mission, and a bonus mission that is unlocked after the player collects all the [[Boo]]s in the manor.

Not much is known about the Gloomy Manor besides that it is abandoned. [[Professor Elvin Gadd|Professor E. Gadd]] was using this mansion to observe the [[ghost (Luigi's Mansion series)|ghost]]s before the Dark Moon shattered. During the time E. Gadd spent studying the ghosts, he made modifications to the mansion, running pipes and wires throughout it. A statue of E. Gadd can be found in the Patio, suggesting that he owned the mansion at some point.
