Glohm Gorumbla is the form Gorumbla takes after he is possessed by Glohm in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. He serves as the penultimate required boss of the game. In this form, Gorumbla has a maroon tint, glowing red eyes, and the Glohm’s particle effect surrounding him.

In this form, Gorumbla resembles his old self, but tinted maroon with glowing red eyes, and a maroon particle effect surrounds him.

Before the battle with Glohm Gorumbla, Chief Willma scolds Gorumbla again. Upon being asked who raised him, Glohm Gorumbla claims that nobody did. Mario and Luigi, upon arriving on the scene, fight with him to stop him. Glohm Gorumbla's battle is highly identical to Gorumbla's, albeit with a few differences: Glohm Gorumbla starts off by creating a spiky Glohmy shield (which must be broken with a Bros. Attack or a hammer), and his attacks are slightly faster and more aggressive, so he is harder to counter. Likewise, his level is thirty-four levels higher than the original Gorumbla's (7), being level 41; this makes Glohm Gorumbla's battle tougher than his regular counterpart's.

After the Mario Bros. defeat Glohm Gorumbla, Gorumbla changes back to his normal self, leading to him apologizing for his actions. Willma, however, mocks his apology, only to be stopped by her children Maykit and Billdit, who mention how he looked after them while they were young. Realizing that she has been too rough, Willma decides he can join, leading Gorumbla to form a bond with his new family.
