| The eight players ride scooters from the top of a hill down to a mud pit, attempting to stop the closest to the mud pit without landing on it. The sunny weather is sometimes substituted by rain, requiring players to stop earlier than if it is sunny, or snow, which produces ice, requiring players to stop even earlier. Any team with a member closest to the mud pit wins. In the event that either every player falls into the mud pit or every team has at least one member stop the same distance from it, the result is a tie.

| The minigame title combines the phrase "give me a break" with mechanical brakes. | | Gimme A Brake is an 8-player mini-game in Mario Party 7. The eight characters start out on the top of a hill on scooters. At the end of the road is a mud pit. The players have to stop their scooters as close as they can to the mud pit without falling into it. The winner is the person (and his/her partner) who stops closest to the mud pit. There are different weather conditions that affect the player's ability to stop on a dime. Sometimes there is rain and the player must stop a little before they would with dry, sunny weather conditions. There is also snow which causes players to have to stop a lot earlier than with either rain or sun. |
