Gilbert's only attacks are swinging from side to side and moving up and down quickly. He can be defeated easily with [[Baby Donkey Kong]]; due to the power of the explosion from one of his eggs, he is able to destroy a big group of spheres. Baby Donkey Kong, however, is not playable at the first encounter with Gilbert.
