Genie is a neutral character, only obeying the wish of the person who rubbed his lamp. He is summoned by Captain Syrup to defeat Wario, but is instead beaten himself.

History
The Genie can shoot fireballs that travel along the floor at Wario. To defeat Genie, Wario must pick up the magic lamp and throw it. If the lamp lands right-side up, a small cloud will rise from the lamp's spout. Wario can jump onto the cloud and use it as a platform to jump on top of Genie's head, his only weak point. Upon reaching a sufficient height, the cloud becomes a miniature Genie, which constantly moves back and forth across the boss area and drops fireballs. This enemy can be defeated with a simple jump attack. Wario must jump upon Genie six times to beat him.

After the game's ending sequence that follows after the Genie's defeat, Wario comes into possession of the lamp and rubs it. Summoning a now-friendly Genie, the genie tells Wario that he can grant one wish. Naturally, Wario wishes for a castle of his very own. While Genie is capable of fulfilling Wario's desire, the genie informs him that he will need coins in exchange. Wario agrees, walking off-screen to convert all of his gathered treasures (if any were found) into cash, to be consolidated with the rest of the coins he has accumulated over the course of his adventure. Depending on the total amount of coins earned, one of the following possible "castles" can be received:

Since Wario receives 300 coins upon defeating the Genie, a score of less than 300 is, in theory, impossible to attain.
