'''General White''' is a retired [[Bob-omb]] general that helped create [[Big Bob]], which can launch people to [[Moon|The Moon]], at [[Fahr Outpost]] in ''[[Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door]]''. For most of the game, General White remains at [[Petalburg]] where he sulks about losing his life's work. [[Mario]] and his party must find him and get him to fire the cannon. He is elusive and sends Mario and friends on a long chase across the map looking for him, ending in his house in Fahr Outpost where Mario must repeatedly jump on him to wake him up from his deep sleep.

The first time is when Mario must get the cannon back online. The order of characters Mario must talk to while searching are as follows:
*Either [[Kroop]] or the [[Koopa Troopa]] in front of the inn at [[Petalburg]].
*[[Pa-Patch]] in [[Keelhaul Key]].
*[[Podler]] in [[Glitzville]].
*The [[Puni]] at the entrance of [[the Great Tree]].
*The [[Twilighter]] in front of the inn at [[Twilight Town]] ([[Mayor Dour]] or the Twilighter near the [[Twilight Shop]] in [[Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (Nintendo Switch)|the Nintendo Switch remake]]).

During this search, General White leaves a message on the Graffiti Corner of the Rogueport message board, requesting information about Mario's location.

The second (optional) time is when [[Goldbob]] sends Mario and friends to deliver a package to him for his [[Delivery, please!|trouble]]. The order of characters Mario must talk to while searching are as follows:
*A Bob-omb in General White's house at Fahr Outpost.
*[[Podley]] in [[Rogueport]].
*Podler in Glitzville.
*Goldbob in [[Poshley Heights]].

General White also appears in volume 34 of ''[[Super Mario-kun]]''. Like in the game, he has to be woken up, but he never seems to have left Fahr Outpost and does not need to be searched for. While he does activate Big Bob, Bowser ends up destroying it before it can launch Mario, [[Goombella]], and [[Koops]] to the moon. 

In the [[Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (Nintendo Switch)|remake]] on the [[Nintendo Switch]], General White is added to the group in Fahr Outpost as they shout support into the Crystal Star to aid Mario and his partners during the final battle.
