He holds the fourth rank in Senior Class singles and the third rank in Senior Class Doubles at the [[Royal Tennis Academy|Academy]]. As the fourth-ranked player, he considers it his job to test unranked players to prevent unworthy players from climbing the ranks but is still enough of a good sport to admit when he loses, that it is to a worthy player. His unofficial title is the "senior sentry." Gary believes strongly in the importance of good teamwork and is every bit as upset over his teamwork slipping as his loss to Max and Tina in doubles. His doubles partner is Jet.
