They will attempt to prevent [[Donkey Kong]] from progressing to the goal by creating mild gales as their name implies. Many Gale Hawgs are tusked, but occasionally do not. Gale Hawg can be defeated by using a sound wave, and then repeatedly punching it while it is dazed. Gale Hawgs are fairly common in front of tunnels, and near pits to make their gales a threat to the player. Like most large pig enemies, the Gale Hawg hurts the player if they collide with their horns. They reappear in ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]'' as a [[Sticker (Super Smash Bros. Brawl)|Sticker]].
