He first kicks it into the air, and then, after hitting it back into the air a number of times, punches it into submission. Once defeated, they leave behind five beats.

They first appeared in the [[Apple Kingdom]]'s level "Massive Canyon", where one resided at the end of the level. It will take Donkey Kong five hits to defeat it. One later appears at the end of the [[Peach Kingdom]]'s level "Ancient Foundry". It will take seven hits to defeat it. Another Goal Mondo later appears in the [[Chili Pepper Kingdom]]'s level Magma Coliseum.
