In ''[[Super Paper Mario]]'', [[Mario]], while riding the back of Fracktail, who had gone on a malfunction-induced rampage, encountered Frackles, who would try to attack him. Mario, in order to harm Fracktail, had to use [[Thoreau]]'s ability to pick-up creatures, to throw Frackles at Fracktail's antenna.

After being hit multiple times by thrown Frackles, Fracktail would be defeated and explode, possibly causing any remaining Frackles to fall.
