"'''Follow That Coconut'''" is the thirty-third episode of the [[Donkey Kong Country (television series)|''Donkey Kong Country'' television series]] and the seventh episode of season three. It was the thirty-fifth episode to air in North America. [[Donkey Kong]], [[Diddy Kong]] and the [[Kremlings]] try to separate and claim the real [[Crystal Coconut]] from a fake.

==Plot synopsis==
One day before the annual soccer game against the [[Kremling|lizards]], [[Diddy Kong]] asks [[Donkey Kong]] if he is nervous about the game, to which he asks why he should be nervous. Diddy reminds DK that he is the star player and that he has not practiced yet, and that if they lose it will be the first time ever, but DK does not seem worried. DK decides to practice with a coconut that he found. Meanwhile, [[General Klump]] and [[Krusha]] spy on the Kongs from behind a fake bush until DK kicks the coconut, landing on the lizards and exposing them. The two run away when DK and Diddy start going after them, with Krusha taking the coconut.

At the hideout, Krusha and Klump are playing with the coconut ball until [[King K. Rool]] comes and reminds them not to play indoors, but he then mistakes the ball for the [[Crystal Coconut]]. Klump tells King K. Rool that he is mistaken, which angers him at first, but gives him an idea to switch the coconut with the real Crystal Coconut.

Meanwhile, at [[Cranky's Cabin]], [[Cranky Kong]], who is the coach for the soccer team, is teaching DK and Diddy about his winning and complicated play he had taught [[Bluster Kong]] and [[Eddie the Mean Old Yeti]] for the first of the annual soccer games. The two Kongs get bored and throw paper airplanes at Cranky, angering him and causing him to forget what the winning play was, so he leaves to ask Bluster if he remembers. Klump and Krusha decide to use Cranky's absence as a chance to come in and switch the Crystal Coconut with the regular coconut.

At [[Bluster Barrelworks]], Cranky tries to ask Bluster if he remembers the winning soccer play, but Bluster is unable to hear him over the loud noise of the factory. Cranky instead tries to remember the play himself.

Back at the cabin, Klump calls the Kongs out and DK sees Klump with the regular coconut, which he mistakes for the Crystal Coconut. Klump also pretends that it is the Crystal Coconut and throws it into the air, with DK catching it. When he and Diddy try to put the coconut back in the case they see the real Crystal Coconut already there and get confused. Klump then takes the real Crystal Coconut and, after a scuffle with the Kongs, the two lizards manage to leave with it, leaving the Kongs with the fake. Cranky returns, having remembered the winning play, but the lizards trample him on their way out, making him forget the play once more.

DK and Diddy try to explain to Cranky that they were protecting the Crystal Coconut, but he just blames DK for making him forget the winning play. DK suggests to Cranky that the Crystal Coconut can help him remember, and Cranky happily says that this is the first intelligent thing that DK said in ages, and tries to use the coconut that is in the cabin, not knowing that it is the fake. Meanwhile King K. Rool is elated at finally having the Crystal Coconut. K. Rool sings gleefully over his victory, while Cranky sings unhappily about this and scolds DK and Diddy for letting it happen, sending them out to reclaim it.

On their way to the hideout, DK and Diddy are practicing soccer with the regular coconut when Diddy suggests that they should fool the lizards the same way they themselves had been fooled. Once King K. Rool and Klump are asleep, the Kongs invite Krusha to play soccer and tell him to bring his own ball. Krusha takes the Crystal Coconut from the sleeping King K. Rool to use as the ball. DK, Diddy, and Krusha start playing until Krusha accidentally kicks a big rock, which wakes Klump up. Krusha kicks the Crystal Coconut to the Kongs, but when Diddy tries to switch the coconuts, Klump catches him. Both the Kongs and the lizards start fighting over the real Crystal Coconut, which ends up in the possession of the Kongs, while the lizards are left with the fake (which they believe is the real one).

DK and Diddy return to Cranky's Cabin with the Crystal Coconut and find a note left by Cranky. DK wonders why Cranky did not send his hologram, but the note answers his question when it says, "I didn't send my hologram because you two chuckleheads lost my Crystal Coconut." Cranky also says in his note that he went to the [[Gorilla Glacier|White Mountains]] to ask Eddie the Yeti about the winning soccer play, instructing them to bring the Crystal Coconut to him if they got it back. Donkey Kong wonders why, but the note ends with "Stop asking questions and just do it you numbskull", and the two Kongs head for the White Mountains with the coconut.

Meanwhile, at the White Mountains, Cranky asks Eddie if he remembers the winning soccer play, but Eddie asks Cranky who he is. After Eddie remembers, Cranky asks about the play he taught to Eddie and Bluster, with Eddie asking who Bluster is. After Eddie remembers and Cranky asks again, Eddie reveals that the winning play was "the old switcheroo", showing Cranky his diary.

Back at the hideout, Klump tries to give the "Crystal Coconut" to King K. Rool while he is asleep, only to wake him up. K. Rool asks the coconut to grant him a request, but finds out that it is not the real Crystal Coconut. He has had enough of his cronies failing, so he decides to once again switch the coconut himself and they all head off to the White Mountains, hoping to surprise the Kongs by approaching from the mountains.

At the White Mountains, DK and Diddy are looking for Cranky, only to end up running into the lizards, causing both groups to drop their coconuts. When DK picks up the two coconuts, King K. Rool grabs Diddy and they begin rapping, with K. Rool threatening to drop Diddy off a cliff if DK does not give him the Crystal Coconut. Diddy gives DK the idea to kick the fake coconut at some snow above so that it falls on the lizards, but DK is unsure which coconut to kick and guesses. As K. Rool drops Diddy, DK kicks the fake coconut, which breaks and causes the snow to fall, burying the lizards. DK discovers that Diddy had grabbed onto a branch after being dropped, and pulls him back up. DK picks up the Crystal Coconut and wonders if it is the real one or the fake one. When he rubs his hand on it, it glows, revealing it to be the real Crystal Coconut after all. Cranky shows up and DK tells him that they have saved the coconut, though Cranky is still grumpy. DK asks him if he remembers his famous soccer play, and Cranky tells him that it is called "the big switcheroo" and involves switching the real soccer ball with a fake one. However, DK and Diddy are already familiar with this. The closing shot is of the lizards covered in snow, with King K. Rool apparently coming down with a cold.
