The player uses the {{button|3ds|stylus}} to aim and launch the claw on the bottom screen to hit the miniature [[Fly Guy]]s that appear on the top screen. Once a Fly Guy is grabbed it needs to be reeled in to collect points. Sometimes a Fly Guy will trigger a lightning attack and the player will need to tap the bottom screen to release the Fly Guy. The player must reach the wave goal score before the wave is over in order to proceed to the next wave. Each level contains three waves, and each wave has a different goal score.
