The sounds that Yoshi makes while flutter-jumping imply some exertion is required to flutter-jump. They also serve as an indicator for the Flutter Jump's duration. Flutter-jumping is usually performed by holding the same button used for jumping while in the air. It ends instantly when the button is released, or at the peak of the jump.
