A Flashlight appears in the [[Luigi's Mansion (series)|''Luigi's Mansion'' series]] as an object used by Luigi. In ''[[Luigi's Mansion]]'', when Luigi first enters [[Luigi's Mansion (location)|the mansion]], he is armed with the flashlight only. When Luigi progresses in the game, however, he can use it to stun [[Ghost (Luigi's Mansion series)|ghosts]]. The Flashlight in ''[[Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon]]'' is merged with the [[Poltergust 5000]] and has two upgrades to find: the [[Strobulb]] and [[Dark-Light Device]]. The flashlight in ''[[Luigi's Mansion 3]]'' serves a similar purpose as in the previous game, including its two upgrades. Each of the four [[Mii]] players looking for the [[Gold Ghost]] Mii is armed with a flashlight, which is used to attack the ghost. It can be turned on and off; however, if players leave it on for too long, its batteries will run low until they run out altogether. New batteries that appear in the mansion can be collected to restore the flashlight's battery life.
