Flame Rider is a bike body that appears in Mario Kart 8. It resembles a Harley-Davidson bike with a fire design on the side. The character's logo is found on the headlights, but it seen on the rear of the bike as well. The engine on the bottom of the bike has a Fire Flower, two Mushroom pistons, and a ? mark engraved on it. The Flame Rider offers a small acceleration boost and a large handling boost at the cost of weight and grip. It shares its stats with Pipe Frame, Wild Wiggler, Standard Bike, W 25 Silver Arrow, and the Varmint.

==Trivia== | |||
*This is the third vehicle in the Mario Kart series to have the word "Flame" in its name, with the first two being the Flame Runner and Flame Flyer from Mario Kart Wii.
**It is also the second of said vehicles to not only have the name, but flame motifs as well; the other being the Flame Flyer.
**However, unlike the Flame Flyer and Flame Runner, the Flame Rider has a positive acceleration and handling boost.
*This is one of two vehicles in Mario Kart 8 to have Mushroom Pistons, the other being the Tri-Speeder.
