| In the one-player version, when the player gets a flag wrong, a different Shy Guy on the ship cuts the rope on the plank the character is standing on, making them fall into the ocean. The Shy Guy then waves at them tauntingly. In the two-player version, as soon as someone loses, the same process happens, but the screen then fades to black and then pans to the player. The winning player does a victory pose, and the losing player is dragged by the ship by a rope. If both players lose, both will be in the water in that situation.
