Fawful's Bean 'n' Badge is a shop that is owned by Fawful that appeared in the events of Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. After Mario and Luigi learned the move Bros. Ball, the Mario Bros. can use it to do additional things. Then something happened as the Mario, Luigi, Baby Mario and Baby Luigi go to that area in the first floor of Princess Peach's Castle. They discovered some type of machine that has a bar and some cogs in it to generate enough power to open up something. The Mario Bros. attempted to use the Bros. Ball move as the machine attempts to generate power by spinning the cog to generate it. When the bar on the machine is full, a Blue Pipe appears in the area. When the Mario Bros. attempt to enter the pipe; they discovered that they are in the Sewers of Princess Peach's Castle.

Fawful's Bean 'n' Badge is a shop run by Fawful in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. It is located in Peach's Castle Dungeon.
When they are ready to proceed to the next room in the place, the Mario Bros. find Fawful with his coat walking to the next area in the place. The Mario Bros. decided to follow him despite the place is inhabited by Goombas. When the Mario Bros. enter the next area Fawful entered, the Mario Bros. see Fawful that he entered one of the pipelines that has holes that appeared in the area of the room. It is unknown how Fawful entered the pipelines that have bars at the end of the pipelines. Unfortunately, The Mario Bros. can't enter the pipelines so they send Baby Mario and Baby Luigi into the pipelines. Baby Luigi jumps on top of Baby Mario with his Hammer and spin to get in the dirt, then they move into the pipeline; bypassing the bars.

When Mario, Luigi, Baby Mario, and Baby Luigi first arrive to the second room in the sewers, they find Fawful walking to the next room. Fawful then enters a pipeline, that Baby Mario and Baby Luigi can access with the Baby Drill. Within the complex, they can find the shop that Fawful runs. Fawful does not take coins for his Badges, but beans, as the shop's name implies.
When the Baby Mario Bros. get out in the dirt while they are in the pipelines, they found ? Blocks in the pipelines during the events. When the Baby Mario Bros. attempted to hit the ? Blocks; 100 Coin pieces pop out from the holes of the pipelines as the Mario Bros. has to get them before these Coins disappear. While the Baby Mario Bros. explore around inside of the pipelines, they found some type of Shop as they entered it. It appears Fawful was running the shop as he introduces his shop that run only in the Sewers of Princess Peach's Castle. Fawful does not take Coins to trade Badges but by trading Beans as the title of the shop mentions it.

When Fawful sees the Baby Mario Bros., he does not recognize them as the baby versions of the Mario Bros. The Baby Mario Bros. can hear the story of Fawful's encounter with the adult Mario Bros. in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, in which he says he will return in the future. After Fawful tells his story, the Baby Mario Bros. can buy Badges in the shop by trading Beans, learn about how to get Beans, or leave the shop. The Baby Mario Bros. can also sell Items, Bros. Items, and Badges for coins only.
When Fawful sees the Baby Mario Bros., Fawful actually doesn't know that they are baby versions of the Mario Bros. The Baby Mario Bros. can have the option to hear the story with fighting the Mario Bros. or not. The Baby Mario Bros. has to hear the story of Fawful and his battle with the Mario Bros. to pick the options. After the baby Mario Bros. hear the story, the Baby Mario Bros. can have the option to buy Badges in the shop by trading Beans, learn about how to get Bean, or just leave the shop. The Baby Mario Bros. can also sell Items, Bros. Items, Badges and to not gain Beans but Coins instead.

If the Baby Mario Bros. decide to learn about Beans, Fawful tells them that Beans are found various places. There are X-mark symbols on the ground, and the Baby Mario Bros. can dig them from the ground by having Baby Luigi jump on Baby Mario's head with his Hammer and spin to get in the dirt. Then, they can emerge from the ground to get a Bean. If the Baby Mario Bros. decide to leave, the Mario Bros. leave the shop to continue the quest. Every time the Baby Mario Bros. attempt to leave the shop, Fawful seeks a vision and tells the Baby Mario Bros. about it.
If the Baby Mario Bros. decide to learn about Beans, Fawful will tell the Baby Mario Bros. how to get Beans. Fawful tells the Baby Mario Bros. that the Beans came from the ground in various places. There are X mark symbols that appeared on the ground, the Baby Mario Bros. can dig them from the ground by having Baby Luigi jumping on top of Baby Mario with his Hammer and spin to get in the dirt and then popping out from the ground to get a Bean as the symbol disappears. The Baby Mario Bros. can also obtain Beans by playing games in places to win them.
