Talking to the red penguin will have him ask if the player wants to join, and accepting the offer will start the race. The player will be unable to catch up to any of the penguins at first, so the player should grab a [[Red Shell]] or [[spin]] repeatedly to help them swim and stay in the race. The race will take the player through same course and obstacles [[Guppy]] took them through in the [[Going after Guppy|previous mission]], except it is longer and there are additional [[ring (Super Mario Galaxy)|ring]]s placed throughout the course that will give the player a boost of speed when swam through.
