As his name suggests, he is a man wearing only blue striped shorts. Other characters exist that are nearly identical to the Dude in Undies, but wear different clothing; one wearing a red leotard and sporting stubble is called the '''Man in Leotard''',<ref name=WarioKard/> and another wearing a caveman costume and sporting a full beard is called the '''Cave Man'''.<ref name=WarioKard/>

In ''[[WarioWare: D.I.Y.]]'', the Dude in Undies and Man in Leotard appear in the [[Super MakerMatic 21#Game MakerMatic|Game MakerMatic]] and [[Super MakerMatic 21#Comic MakerMatic|Comic MakerMatic]] modes of the [[Super MakerMatic 21]]. The Dude in Undies is in charge of the Palette Orientation options, the Cave Man, of the Stamp Orientation options, and the Man in Leotard, of the Character Orientation options. Moreover, the Dude in Undies is also seen in an animation walking or running on a treadmill in the Art Animation Speed window for visualisation of the set speed.

Additionally, the Dude in Undies is a stamp that can be placed while creating art for a [[microgame]]. He is also an instrument of the Voice type found the Super MakerMatic 21's music making tool, here called '''Wah Dude''', while another instrument called the '''Opera Man''' is identical to the Man in Leotard.

Three Dudes in Undies appear in the microgame [[Dance Dudes]]. The player must rotate and flip one of them to match the two others that appear. A dancing man similar to the Dude in Undies appears in [[Circuit Path]]; however, this man wears a purple suit and hat instead.

In the [[Gamer]] [[minigame]] from ''[[Game & Wario]]'', all three variants of the Dude in Undies appear in the microgame [[Record Guy]], where the player must flick them off the spinning record. On the microgame's first difficulty level, a Dude in Undies stands still on the record. On the second difficulty level, a Man in Leotard stands on the record and jumps randomly. On the third difficulty level, two Cave Men stand on the record, and both jump randomly.

The Dude in Undies also appears in the [[Pirates]] minigame in the Sparkly Ocean stage; this appearance is mentioned by [[Mona]] in the [[Game & Wario#Cluck-A-Pop|Cluck-A-Pop]] prize [[Mona Superscoop]] 16. In the Twinkly Planet stage, both the Dude in Undies and the Cave Man appear.
