The Drill Spin is a move introduced in New Super Mario Bros. When used, the player character moves in a downward, drill-like spin, allowing them to break multiple Brick Blocks in a row, as well as making their descent much faster while restricting horizontal movement.
The Drill Spin is a technique used by Mario and Luigi in New Super Mario Bros., New Super Mario Bros. Wii, New Super Mario Bros. U, New Super Luigi U, and the Super Mario Maker games. The move causes Mario or Luigi to move in a downward, drill-like spin, which allows Mario or Luigi to break multiple Brick Blocks in a row. It also makes Mario or Luigi's descent much faster, though it restricts his horizontal movement.

The Drill Spin is a move in New Super Mario Bros. It can be performed by Mario or Luigi while he is midair, but only after he jumps off a Spin Block. The player can press and hold Paddown for the player character to perform a Drill Spin, though they cannot stop it until they touch the ground.
