Editing Drill Mushroom

The '''Drill Mushroom''' is a power-up item that first appeared in ''[[Super Mario Bros. Wonder]]''. It takes the form of a mushroom with a gray drill and a red base in place of the cap, resembling the [[Spin Drill]] from ''[[Super Mario Galaxy 2]]''. This item chiefly enables its users to move through the ground and ceiling.

 

In ''Super Mario Bros. Wonder'', the Drill Mushroom first appears in [[Jewel-Block Cave]] on [[Petal Isles]], the first level after World 3, [[Shining Falls]]. Upon picking it up, it will turn the user into their [[Drill Mario|Drill form]], giving them the ability to drill through the ground and ceiling along with being able to defeat enemies from below similar to the [[Spiny Shell (red)|Spiny Shell]] helmet from ''[[Super Mario Maker]]''. If the player has the Jet Run badge equipped, they will move automatically and slightly faster while underground or in the ceiling.

 

The Drill Mushroom appears as one of the stamps on the Stamp Cards in the ''Super Mario Bros. Wonder'' event in ''[[Super Mario Run]]'' from December 20, 2023 to March 15, 2024.
