| Drill Bros., also known as Baby Drill, is a Bros. Action seen in the Mario & Luigi series. It is used by Baby Mario and Baby Luigi in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time and by Mario and Luigi in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and its 3DS remake, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey. Baby Luigi stands on top of Baby Mario while holding a Hammer. Then, by spinning, the two burrow into the ground. Mario and Luigi's version is identical.
| | Baby Drill is a technique used by Baby Mario and Baby Luigi in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. The babies learn this technique shortly after they receive their hammers in the Vim Factory. It is taught to them by the Hammer Bros., and allows them to burrow underground - avoiding enemies and allowing them to slip under the tightest spaces. The babies cannot dig through hard materials (such as metal), and receive a Bean if they surface on an 'X' marked spot. If they surface on an enemy, the overworld enemy is stunned, which allows the babies to either escape or engage the enemy more easily. |

| | The technique returns in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story under the name of Drill Bros. It is usable by Mario and Luigi and serves a similar function to the last game, letting them traverse under tight areas and find Beans in the overworld, marked with again an 'X'. |

| | The Baby Drill appears in volume 36 of the Super Mario-Kun. Rather than using it as a technique for digging up beans, the Baby Mario Bros. use it as an offensive attack. They attack Swiggler, Mrs. Thwomp, and even the adult Mario Bros. The babies' positions also alternate, unlike in the game, where Baby Luigi is always on the top. The babies also do not require hammers for the move in the manga. |
| In Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, Baby Mario and Baby Luigi learn Baby Drill shortly after they receive their hammers in the Vim Factory from the Hammer Bros. after freeing them from their mind control, during the hammer tutorial. It allows them to burrow underground, avoiding enemies and allowing them to slip under the tightest spaces. Baby Luigi's hat sticks out from the ground as an indicator of their position. The babies cannot dig through hard materials (such as metal), and can receive a bean if they surface while underneath a mark, which has an "X" as an indicator. If they surface under an enemy and pop out of the ground in the overworld, the enemy will be launched into the air and fall back down stunned, which allows the babies to either escape or First Strike them more easily.

| |
| Drill Bros. returns in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey, this time being used by Mario and Luigi and learned at the Energy Hold. When Mario and Luigi spin into a drill-like bone inside the Energy Hold, the bone was moved into the floor of Bowser's body. When they and Starlow make this observation, Mario and Luigi determine that they can drill into the ground by spinning with their hammers, thus learning Drill Bros. It serves a similar function to the last game, letting them traverse under small and tight areas than not even Mini-Mario can travel through, activate certain things inside Bowser's body, and dig into suspecious spots in the field to find Beans. Inside Bowser's body, they are indicated by sparkles, while outside Bowser's body, they are again marked with an 'X'. The move can also be used to collect Mushroom Balls in Toad Town Mall, and is also required to stop the pain in Bowser's back in the Lumbar Nook. Unlike Baby Drill, a pointing glove indicates where Mario and Luigi are while underground.

| In Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey, the cutscene where Mario and Luigi learn Drill Bros. is modified slightly. After causing the bone to drill, the sequence calls attention to the tunnel ahead of the bone that is too narrow to pass through, then returns to Mario and Luigi.

| The Baby Drill appears in volume 35 and 36 of Super Mario-kun. Rather than using it as a technique for digging up beans, the Baby Mario brothers use it as an offensive attack. Unlike in the game, Baby Luigi carelessly swinging his hammer around gives Baby Mario the inspiration of the move rather than the Hammer Bros. teaching it to them. They use the move to attack Swiggler, Mrs. Thwomp, and even the adult Mario Bros. The babies' positions also alternate, unlike in the game, where Baby Luigi is always on the top. The babies also do not require hammers for the move in the manga. | |
