Editing Dream Event

'''Dream Events''' are events in the [[Mario & Sonic (series)|''Mario & Sonic'' series]] that are loosely based on Olympic [[Event]]s and prominently feature elements from both the ''[[Mario (franchise)|Mario]]'' and {{wp|Sonic the Hedgehog (series)|''Sonic the Hedgehog''}} series as part of the event. This often includes items being used or enemies and obstacles appearing in the event. The events take place either in existing places from the two series or in new locations created for the games. The events are unlockable in the first two installments (aside from [[Dream Ski Jumping]] or [[Dream Ski Cross]] in the Wii version of [[Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games]]) but are available from the start in the third and fourth ones.

Dream Events do not appear in either of the Rio 2016 installments, but are replaced by [[Duel Event]]s in the [[Wii U]] [[Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games (Wii U)|version]], and [[Plus Event]]s in the [[Nintendo 3DS]] [[Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games (Nintendo 3DS)|version]]. However, they do make their return in the [[Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020|Tokyo 2020 installment]].
