'''''Dr. Mario-kun''''' is a manga series written by the duo [[Aoki Kei & Mikamaru]] and published by {{wp|Kodansha}}'s {{wp|Comic BomBom}}.

Its run began in January 2003 and ended in December 2007 when the Comic BomBom ceased publishing their magazine, amounting to 59 monthly chapters (except for the July 2007 issue) that were never published in {{wp|tankōbon}} form.

It features [[Dr. Mario]] and his friends fighting against various monsters that the Three [[Virus]] Brothers (Blue, Red, and Yellow) dispatch on them, only for them to be regularly beaten with some [[capsule]]s tossed at them. Some chapters cover events from games that were released during that period, such as ''[[Super Paper Mario]]''.

A special chapter called ''[[Made in Wario (manga)|Made in Wario]]'', based on the [[WarioWare (series)|''WarioWare'' series]] was released on March 2005.

Since 2021, the authors started a campaign on their social media to let their manga recieve a book publication<ref>kei_mika (December 15, 2023).
