In battle, Doom Blooms have two attacks. Their first one has them lunge out to bite Mario or Luigi, with their angle depending on their height and whether they squawk or not. Shorter ones will lunge directly at Mario or Luigi if they do not squawk first (which must be dodged or countered with a jump), or strike above the bro if they do (in which case the targeted bro must do nothing). Taller ones will do the opposite, striking the air if they do not squawk, or striking down at the targeted bro if they do. They can also shoot fire or ice balls at Mario and Luigi, which the latter must block with their hammer | In battle, Doom Blooms have two attacks.
