Donkey Kong is fought at the end of each world, with his tactics changing between battles. Towards the end, Donkey Kong checks the sack, only to see that it is entirely empty. He is laughed at by Mario, the Mini-Mario toys, and three [[Toad (species)|Toads]]. Donkey Kong grabs the Toads angrily and climbs up a nearby a building with them. After another defeat, Donkey Kong falls off the building and lands on a truck with several Mini-Marios. Donkey Kong steals the Mini-Marios, and he is then fought at the end of each world once more.
