Its original name comes from the Japanese term「リモコン」(''Rimokon''), which is derived from the English term "remote control". Like other creatures in the tower, they are probably used for [[Booster]]'s entertainment. Dolloxes usually aid other minions of Booster in battle, but never fight on their own. They attack by striking an opponent with their [[hammer]]s, and can also perform the powerful [[Body Slam (Super Mario RPG)|Body Slam]] attack by swinging said hammers with extreme force. They can also perform a special dance, known as the [[Eerie Jig]], that transforms an opponent into a [[Scarecrow (status effect)|Scarecrow]]. Dolloxes are instantly defeated by fire-based attacks.
