The '''Doctor Tour''' was the sixty-ninth tour of ''[[Mario Kart Tour]]'', which began on May 4, 2022 and ended on May 17, 2022. As the tour's name indicates, it introduced [[Dr. Mario]] and [[Luigi#Dr. Mario series|Dr. Luigi]] as new drivers, [[Capsule]]s as new items, and doctor-themed items such as the [[Capsule Kart]] and [[Blue-Green Capsule Kart|its variant]]. It also featured [[Wii Coconut Mall|Coconut Mall]] from ''[[Mario Kart Wii]]'' as the signature course of the tour. This tour released Wave 5 of Mii Racing Suits, which, like the previous tour, introduced only one suit. This was the first tour since the [[Winter Tour (2020)|2020 Winter Tour]] thirty-seven tours prior to feature the [[Take them out quick!]] bonus challenge, the first tour since the [[Cat Tour (2021)|2021 Cat Tour]] thirty-three tours prior to have only three spotlights in the week 2 pipe, and the first tour since the [[Wario vs. Waluigi Tour]] seven tours prior to not feature any special prizes for placing high in ranked cups. This was also the first tour to lack a [[Break Item Boxes]] bonus challenge.

This tour's [[Coin Rush (Mario Kart Tour)|Coin Rush]] course was [[SNES Donut Plains 1]], which was reused from the [[Yoshi Tour (2020)|2020 Yoshi Tour]]. The menu's background featured Coconut Mall as the landmark for this tour.

The Doctor Fest event began in this tour and ran until the end of the following tour, the [[Peach vs. Bowser Tour (May 2022)|May 2022 Peach vs. Bowser Tour]].

This was the final tour to feature a new exclusive item to the game.

==Today's Challenge==
Players' most recently used kart and glider are chosen, and favorite and favored ones have extra priority. Opponents are arranged randomly. On day 1 of this tour, players finish a race in [[RMX Rainbow Road 2|RMX Rainbow Road 2R]] in the [[Dry Bones Cup]] using [[Fire Mario|Fire Rosalina]] for a free pipe launch. Starting from day 2, players have to finish a race in the earliest incomplete course that is not in any of the ranked cups using the driver shown on the course's thumbnail every day to obtain the corresponding reward in the table below. Once all of the courses are completed, the courses are selected at random.
