Players pilot their submarines to grab Coins in the ocean as the [[Hammer Bro]] on a ship above the water throws Coins, [[coin bag]]s, and [[mine]]s. If players get hit by a mine, they are stunned for a few seconds. If players rapidly press the {{button|n64|A}} button, the submarines rise toward the surface of the water, increasing the chances of collecting Coins (or getting hit by a mine). When the minigame ends, the players keep the Coins they collected.
