Davy Bones is encountered by [[Donkey Kong]] in the [[Aqua World]]. Davy Bones would try to attack Donkey Kong by lunging at him from one of the holes it inhabits. Whenever Davy does this Donkey must grab hold of a small red spot on Davy's tail and swing him into a nearby row of spikes. After bashing Davy into these spikes several times the zombified sea creature will explode and Donkey will obtain the [[DK Coin|golden medal]] that Davy was guarding.

* The name Davy Bones is derived from the old sea legend of [[wikipedia:Davy Jones' Locker|Davy Jones' Locker]]; in fact, the level Davy Bones is encountered in is called "[[Davy Bones' Locker]]".
* Davy Bones bares limited resemblance to the ''[[Yoshi's Story]]'' enemy [[Bone Dragon]]. Interestingly, the two characters' posing in their official artwork is also very uncanny.
*From JKing of Swing's sequel, [[Jungle Climber]], there is a dragon boss that is very similar to Davy Bones in both appearance and the way Donkey Kong fights it.
