They are {{wp|German Shepherd}}s that are trained as police dogs by [[Sergeant Houndstooth]], and can only appear in the [[Smithsnorian Museum]] when [[Nigel B. Whistlebottom]] summons other security guards. Dave attacks [[Wario]] by rearing up on its hind legs and punching with its paws; they cannot be defeated, but Wario can still knock them out for a few seconds.
