|tattle=It’s a Dark Pokey. They live in the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials... Max HP is 20. Attack is 4. Their spikes prevent you from stomping or throwing them... Is it an animal or a plant? Either way, it throws pieces of itself at you… Try using Boomer, Cudge, or Bowser’s breath...

The Dark Pokey is a pitch black, shady Pokey that can be found in rooms 21, 24 and 33 of the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials, in Super Paper Mario. They attack like regular Pokeys, by tossing parts of their body at Mario and his allies. Since they only have three body segments, they are soon reduced to a mere head. In this form, they can only hop around the room, trying to ram their opponents. If hit by a Dark Pokey part, the player will become poisoned. Oddly if Mario jumps on a Dark Pokey, this won't make him poisoned.
